Day 100 & Form SF-180 Still Not Signed

January 30, 2005 was exactly 100 days ago. John Kerry, the Jr Senator from MA and former Presidential candidate promised to sign SF-180 to release his military records to the press. On January 30th, Iraq held it's 1st free national election. Since, they have picked and installed their government. And still, SF-180 is unsigned. My friend Kender suggested that we all send Kerry a pen because he speculated that Kerry couldn't find one. I am not in favor of that. He's a United States Senator. He pays no postage. He gets his internet access for free. He has a staff of people to read his email and snail mail. He has a staff of people who answers his phones. Among all those people, he can't borrow a pen? He can't reach into his unlimited supply of pens, pencils, stacks of legal pads, post-it notes, and a host of other supplies paid for by the American taxpayer and find 1 pen to sign 1 form? The bottom line is, he has something to hide. Releasing those records would stir up a mess that he has carefully hidden from the American taxpayer for years. He can't afford that. He has a re-election campaign eventually. If not another stab at the White House. It's bad enough that there is public domain pictures and film of him campaigning with Hanoi Jane for the end of the Vietnam Conflict. Which brings up another point to me: Welcome Home to all Vietnam Vets. Not only welcome home, but thank you for doing what so many were afraid to do. Thank you for risking your life for a country who hasn't given you the love that you deserve. And while I'm at it... Welcome Home and Thank You to all who have served this country in one of the armed services. Help Put A Stop To The Most Dangerous Organization In America. We are trying to organize a march on all of the ACLU state offices in all of the 50 states. To help in this matter, we are trying to raise money to pay for advertising in our nation's newspapers promoting the march. You can help. Visit Bulldoze The ACLU online store and buy a bumper sticker or t-shirt. All of the proceedes will be going into advertising for this march. Thank You.
