Conservative Minorities

The group of individuals in this nation that get the least amount of appreciation is Conservative Minorities. And it's this group that angers the left the most. Why? Because they have the audacity to break out of the socio-economic mold which has been cast around them. Racism isn't confined to the bigoted white conservatives. No, it is perpetuated by the left. These liberal activists go out and re-affirm the difficulties that the minority community is facing and blames it on rich white guys. If that isn't racist I don't know what is. I read a blog this morning that really woke me up. It is the editor's blog from Republican Voices called Indoctrination Center Ahead. The post that I read is titled "Coming out of the closet" written by Mike DuBois. The title of the post has nothing to do with his sexual orientation, but rather his race. Check it out, it is very revealing and worth the read. The utter hypocrisy of the left when it comes to minorities on the right is disgusting. There was a blogger who is openly gay and was involved heavily on Blogs For Bush and Wictory Wednesday who had to quit writing. He quit because an openly gay liberal writer found out where he worked and outted him. Out of fear of losing his job, the blogger gave up his blog. Silenced by a liberal who disliked the fact that he didn't fit the political stereotype of a homosexual. Sounds like censorship to me. I was under the impression that the left was into the free speech idea. Not so. You are free to speak as long as you agree with them. Former Secretary of State, General Colin Powell faced being called an Uncle Tom. This man rose through the ranks in our military to become the highest ranking soldier in the country on his own merit. Helped lead to the fastest most effective military campaign in the history of the world, retired from the military to become Secretary of State during a time of War, and conducted himself and represented our country very well. And the left calls him an Uncle Tom. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas faced the most humiliating confirmation processes in the history of this country. The unsubstantiated charges by Anita Hill was not only an embarrassment to him, but to the entire nation. He faced them with class winning confirmation and the left still refers to him as an Uncle Tom. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice has the potential to become the first African-American President of the United States, and she is referred to as an Uncle Tom. This woman is very likely one of the most intelligent people in the country, worked hard for her accomplishments, and became the 2nd woman to hold the office of Secretary of State all on her own. But she is referred to as being in the President's pocket and an Uncle Tom. Newly confirmed Federal Judge Janice Rogers-Brown over came some very difficult circumstances to get where she is. She was elected to the California State Supreme Court 5 times with an overwhelming majority each time. But she was held up in the Senate because she is officially considered an "extreme" judge. When the fact is that she didn't fit the liberal mold. Judge Rogers-Brown grew up in the Jim Crow South a daughter of a share-cropper. Worked hard, studied, passed the bar, and served her nation well as an attorney and a judge. But because she went against the grain of main stream minority stereotype, she was ridiculed on the floor of the Senate by the likes of Senator Robert Byrd, a former member of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. There is another blog I'd like for you to check out. Def Conservative. This guy is in college. A time when most people are as liberal as they are ever going to get and he's conservative. He has a unique way about him. A very straight to the point no non-sense approach to pointing out white liberal guilt as he puts it. And he is worth a daily read. And with my trek through the forbidden world of race relations, I will admit that I'm a white male. The most ridiculed of all the segments of the population. But you will never hear me complain that it's holding me down. Because I feel that this nation has been torn apart too much already over skin tone to perpetuate the cycle of hate. I tip my hat to my minority Conservative brothers and sisters. You all are standing upon personal beliefs and principles. And despite the rhetoric from the left, you do so with pride. If you are a minority and you believe as we do, don't be afraid. Start a blog and write what you think. You will find that most of us will defend your thoughts and your right to think freely. Voice your opinion and become part of the process. This is the media of the future and you can be an important part of it.
Congressional Emergency
Urge passage of HR 2679, The Public Expression of Religion Act of 2005. What this bill does, is to remove the ability for the award of federal funding in order to recover legal fees. These suits are often taken pro bono. But once won, the attorneys are able to recover legal fees from the government. We need to get groups like the ACLU off the Taxpayers' Dime. Call, write, or email your Congressman and Senators and urge passage of this bill.
